The
newly established company Sildaskjær AS, Måløy took delivery
of the 90 feet combined purse/Danish seiner from Havyard Eid AS, Løkjaneset
in March. The fishing boat was designed by Naval Consult AS, and the hull was
built at Stalkon in Poland.
By
combining fishing with Danish seine or purse seine it is possible for the vessel
to fish continuously based on the fishing quotas obtained by the Owners of the
vessel.
SILDASKJÆR
is propelled by a Caterpillar 3508 BTA diesel engine developing 1,060 hp to drive
a Finnøy 642F reduction gear and a Finnøy P50.17.190.9 propeller.
She has a Tenfjord
steering gear and a Becker rudder. The forward thruster of 160 kW is from Vestnorsk
Engineering, and the aft thruster is a Kamewa Ulstein type 24TV of 200 kW.
The
vessel has two gensets, one Scania DSI/Stamford developing 415 kVA and one Volvo
Penta TMD 102A/Leroy Somer producing 217 kVA. The tank sounding system is supplied
by Umas.
The
vessel's deck is arranged with gear handling area aft and catch handling area
forward of the wheelhouse. The RSW system is supplied by Midt-Troms Kjøleservice,
and the vacuum pumping system is from Optimar Herøy AS. Triplex has supplied
deck cranes. Selstad AS has delivered life-saving equipment such as MOB-boat type
Viking 470 and Viking liferafts.
SILDASKJÆRs
accommodation gives room nine persons split in five single cabins and two double
ones. The electronic wheelhouse equipment from Måløy Radioforretning
AS includes JRC echo sounder, Furuno CH-37 sonar, Simrad SP60 sonar, Furuno CI-60
current log, Skanti 8251D GMDSS radio station and intercom system from Zenitel
Marine.
