The
purse seiner/Danish purser SKAGØYSUND was delivered from Vaagland Båtbyggeri
AS to Skagøysund AS, Sommarøy, in October as the yards own design.
Atlantkonsult AS has delivered the drawings and calculations. The price for the
newbuilding is around NOK 35-40 million.
The
vessel is powered by a Mitsubishi S12R-MPTK diesel engine coupled to a Helseth
propeller via a Finnøy gear. The boat has Tenfjord steering gear and two
Brunvoll side thrusters for easier manoeuvring. Two Mitsubishi motors with Stamford
generators provide electrical energy.
The
RSW system is from Aquaterm, and the vacuum pump is supplied by Cflow Fish Handling.
The three RSW tanks have capacity of 150 m3 and the receiving bins for 61 m3.
The six cabins
accommodation, the work performed by R&M Industrier, give room for a crew of eight.
Elmarin AS and
J. M. Hansen were given the task of installing the wheelhouse equipment which
includes Furuno FR-2115 radar, M-1933 C radar, Furuno FCV-1200 echo sounder ETR-30
echo sounder, Furuno FCV-24 and CSH-84 sonars, Simrad AP50 auto pilot, Furuno
Telchart, Furuno FS-1570 GMDSS A2, Furuno FM-8500 VHF, Sailor RT-2048 VHF, Tron
40S emergency beacon, two SART radar transponders, Furuno NX-500 Navtex and Furuno
Felcom Inmarsat C.
