(Surf
SAS) PSV Asterie 2004 GIE, Marseilles took delivery of the UT 755 L supply vessel
ASTERIE in March from Brattvaag Skipsverft AS. This is a sister vessel of ANTENOR
which was delivered in January. The owning company is part of Groupe Bourbon in
France.
The
vessel's propulsion machinery consists of two Bergen Diesel KRMB9 diesel engines,
each with an ouput of 2005 kW. The reduction gear and propeller are both of Kamewa
Ulstein make. The vessel is equipped with Kamewa Ulstein VROS TCNS 73/50-180 azimuth
and two Kamewa Ulstein 150 TV.
Electric
energy is produced by two Caterpillar gensets with motor type 3406 DITA and two
shaft generators each of 1800 kW from Scandinavian Electric Systems.
The
Fi-Fi I system is supplied by Kværner Eureka, and the deck machinery is
from Rauma Brattvaag. ASTERIE provides accommodation for 24 persons. Mare Safety
has delivered equipment for the galley and the vacuum toilet system is from Jets
Vacuum.
The engine
room alarm system is of UMAS V make and the DP-system from Kongsberg Maritime.
The electronic navigation equipment installed by O. Øverland features Furuno
FR-2135 S-band and FR-2115 X-band radars, Furuno FE-700 echo sounder, Furuno DS-80
log, Anschütz St. 22 gyro compass, Anschütz Pilotstar D auto pilot and
Furuno GP-80/90 GPS.
Amongst
the communication equipment onboard one finds Furuno FS-5000 MF/HF SSB, w/DSC-60
GMDSS, three Tron VHF's, two Furuno FM-8500 VHF's, two FM-2721 VHF's, Tron 40S
emergency beacon, SART radar transponder, Furuno FA-100 AIS, Furuno Felcom 15
Inmarsat C, Furuno Felcom 82B Inmarsat B, Furuno NX-500 Navtex and Nera 7701 iridium
telephone.
