FATIH SULTAN MEHMET I was delivered from Fjellstrand AS, Omastrand in February to Seabus Company (IDO) in Tyrkey. The ferry is of the FerryCat 120 design and can transport 112 cars and 584 passengers.

Auxiliary power is by two BOS 6R 183 TE 52 motors and two Stamford generators. The fire-fighting equipment in the engine room is from Semco Marine with an alarm system of Autronica make.

Solberg Scandinavian has supplied the sprinkler fi-fi system for the car deck and accommodation areas. The MOB-rescue boat is of Zodiac 420 make in davit from Vestdavit. The passenger seating arrangement is supplied by Eknes Industrier.
