The
work boat KAROLINE was built at Ørnli AS, Norddyrøy and delivered
to Atlantic Halibut AS, Hjelmeland (part of Nutreco) in December.
The
work boat is built with single hull as a work- and fish-feed boat with deck cargo
capacity of six tons. The wheelhouse is arranged for threee persons. The Palfinger
PK 10000A crane from Bergen Hydraulic is mounted aft, and the 1.5 tons capstan
from Sveiseservice is located on the starboard side.
The
boat's propulsion engine is a Sabb Iveco N67MNT M28 diesel engine which develops
200 bhp at 2,800 rpm driving a Helseth 3H60-880 HS propeller via a Sabb HVP65
reduction gear w/PTO for the hydraulic system.
The
wheelhouse has electronic equipment such as Simrad CA44 which combines radar,
echo sounder, GPS and chart plotter, and in addition comes a Simrad RT64H VHF-radio
and compass from Carl Faannessen.
